Antidepressant Side Effects? Don’t Blame Your Doctor Yet
When patients consume their antidepressants punctually and they suffer from side effects subsequently, they place the blame on the doctors. Well, it is not that doctors are heartless people who don’t care about their patients. This is happening rather because these doctors lack the expertise to make constructive medical responses with regards to their patients’ complaints.
The wide majority of the psychiatrists have only an elementary knowledge of psychopharmacology.
This makes it natural for them to have an even less understanding of the related fields of medicine, which include nutrition and endocrinology.
Don’t place the blame on young psychiatrists who had just graduated from medicine school. They have no psychiatric experience and have little understanding about how antidepressants are actually affecting their patients daily.
When patients express their complaints, all these doctors don’t have much to offer to change medication. Awkward situations are very common, which makes antidepressants a partial solution to the entire depression community.
Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all remedy. Each of us in unique in some way and this applies to our bodies as well. Although everyone responds differently to antidepressants in some way or another, there is one common conclusion. There will surely be imbalances within the body.
However, orthomolecular psychiatry is out to change this aspect. Orthomolecular psychiatry actually aims to achieve a wholesome balance within the body. This holistic approach is not easy to implement. But, if you weigh the consequences of depression together with side effects, I think it will be wise to take this challenge towards this unstoppable force of recovery.
